A New Program, Inspiring New Learning

ALEPH: The Institute of Jewish Ideas is a new community-wide learning initiative, supported by a donor through the Jewish Community Foundation. The program is co-sponsored by the Mandell JCC and UConn Judaic Studies. Using an annual theme, ALEPH invites agencies and synagogues to sponsor high-level educational programming connected to the theme. In the first year, under the theme of “Home and Exile,” we have sponsored lectures, book discussions, panel presentations and a one-woman show: Michelle Azar: From Baghdad to Brooklyn. Come to our upcoming programs: At Home in America: A 3 Rabbi Panel (1/15) and How Yiddish Changed America and How America Changed Yiddish (3/18).

Introducing ALEPH, a new program of learning for our community.
